We are co-developing a new concept of condition monitoring and vegetation management for overhead lines. Working with DSOs and TSOs, we will build an interactive 3D “digital twin” environment where engineers can navigate their line assets, and in that context view defects identified with Artificial Intelligence and from virtual inspections.
We will bring additional data such as UV, thermographic data, satellite, and LiDAR for vegetation risk analysis into the same environment to enable an even richer, “full story” asset-based navigation of the line condition and its environment. We will build condition-based risk models around the information we have gathered to provide insights on where the real risks in the asset pool most likely lie.
The aim with Grid Vision 5D is to give asset management personnel and decision-makers a solid basis of information to make the move from reactive or calendar-based planning of inspection and maintenance to proactive, risk-based asset management.
Join Our Program
This project is open to TSOs and DSOs based in Norway, Sweden and Denmark. Customers are at the heart of what we design and develop, and Grid Vision 5D is no exception. Once a part of the program, your role, through workshops and trials alongside other utilities, will be to provide input on your operational challenges and needs that will shape the project goals and deliverables, and to give feedback on the tools we jointly build.
This is an unbeatable opportunity to have a seat at the table with your industry peers and with our team of energy industry digitalization experts: together we will shape the future of overhead line asset management!
